About the Mahindra Chakan Plant

Spread across 700 acres, Mahindra Vehicles Manufacturers Ltd. plant at Chakan MIDC (Pune) is a state-of-the-art and eco-friendly manufacturing facility. The Chakan plant is the largest and the best in Mahindra Automotive Division in terms of its capacities and capabilities. Headed by Nachiket Kodkani, this plant integrates the best in technology, operational excellence, and green practices. The plant manufactures multiple products including commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles. 

The safety of all the stakeholders visiting the factory premises is of utmost importance.  In order to ensure your personal safety, please adhere to the guidelines.

We hope your plant visit to be safe and pleasant.

 

General Instructions

1. Upon your arrival, a visitor’s badge will be given which must be worn in a highly visible manner during the plant tour. At the end of your visit, please hand in your badge before leaving the site.

2. Please comply with all instructions and prohibition, warning and obligatory signs posted all over the site.

3. Please declare your belongings at the gate or keep them in your bus  like – Laptops, Camera, Pen drive etc.

4. It is imperative to wear shoes while entering the plant premises.

5. Use adequate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided for your protection upon your arrival at the site’s entrance.

4. Smoking is prohibited in the premises.

5. Do not come into physical contact with any of the machineries/ control panels to prevent possible safety hazards.

6. Photography/ videography is strictly prohibited inside the plant. Special arrangements can be agreed with necessary approval from the plant authorities.

7. The visitors are prohibited to use cell phones while walking on the shop floors.

 

Safety Instructions

1. Be extremely careful when you enter areas where fork - lifts and special vehicles operate. Be sure that the drivers are aware of your presence. Note all vehicles in the factory premises have priority.

2. Be aware of overhead crane movements. Stay out from under suspended loads.

3. Marked aisle ways are designed to keep pedestrians a safe distance from the hazards of vehicles and manufacturing processes. Walk only in designated pedestrian routes marked in green.

    The routes used both for pedestrians and vehicles are marked.

4. Do not attempt to operate any machine, device or equipment.

5. Do not enter any area posted as a restricted area without authorization.

6. Stay close to your attendant at all times, keeping him informed regarding the areas you are about to visit. Do not leave your group.

7. Don’t hesitate to ask for help in any case.
